Dr. Dong Hwa Kim received Ph.D from Ajou University in Korea and also got Ph.D from Dept. of Computational Intelligence and Systems Science, TIT (Tokyo Institute of Technology, K. Hirota Lab.), Tokyo, Japan. He has experience in many areas such as Visiting Professor, Mechanical, Optic, Engineering Informatics, Budapest University of Technology and Economic (March 20, 2012-2013), President, Korea Institute HuCARE (President of Hu-CARE (Human-Centered Advanced Technology Research/Education, 2009 – ), EU-FP NCP (ICT) in Korea (Nov. 2009-), Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (Nov., 1977-March, 1993), President, Daedeok Korea-India Forum (March 1, 2010 – ), Vice-president of the recognition board of the world congress of arts, sciences and communications, IBC (Sept. 1, 2007, UK), Co-editor, Japan Society for Fuzzy Theory and Intelligent Informatics, executive committees (June 2, 2007 -2009), Co-editor, Journal of Advanced Computational Intelligence and Intelligent Informatics (JACIII, Fujii press, Japan (2006-), Director of National Science Foundation (2006-2008). He wrote many columns about science & technology strategy and policy in major newspaper in Korea. He also had ever have lecture and keynote speaker in over 100 University and conference or forum over the world. He was Book Author in Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithms (Computational Intelligence 75), Springer, Germany, 2007, and published 200 papers in international Journal and awards 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century, Top 100 Engineers 2008 (UK), International Einstein Award for Scientific achievement. He got also best innovation award from Hankook Illbo (Korea major daily newspaper) on 2009. He is now working at Hanbat National University (2009 – )

Dr. Bhanu obtained his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science for his thesis on Algorithms for Biomedical image processing and did his postdoctoral work in Biomedical Imaging Lab of Institute of Infocomm Research (I2R, A*STAR). He later joined Biomedical Imaging Laboratory (BIL), Singapore Bioimaging Consortium (SBIC) as Research Scientist in 2005 and has been working with Laboratory of Metabolic Imaging (LMI) since 2012. During his tenure at BIL, he developed algorithms for identification of landmarks for mapping MR brain images to brain atlas, segmentation and quantification of ischemic and hemorrhage stroke, development of Stroke CAD, iStrokesuite- a Telestroke application Stroke assessment & treatment planner etc. At SBIC- LMI he developed algorithms for quantification of abdominal fat in rodents, segmentation of human abdominal subcutaneous fat into superficial and deep subcutaneous fat, machine learning based characterization and quantification of brown adipose tissue, development of algorithms for adiposity analysis using fluorescent images, developmental changes in brain structures due to low dose post-natal radiation exposure, automatic segmentation of TBI and sub-regions within TBI etc.
Research interests : Algorithm development for multimodal image processing, Pattern recognition, Machine and deep learning, Statistical analysis.

TEO Yong-Meng is an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS), and a Fellow of the Singapore-Massachusetts Institute of Technology Alliance. Professor Teo graduated with a Bachelor of Technology (1st Class Honours) in computer science from the University of Bradford in 1983. Before turning to academia, Professor Teo worked for two years as a systems engineer in the National Identification Databank project of the National Computer Board (currently Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA)). His MSc and PhD in computer science were obtained from the University of Manchester in 1987 and 1989 as a result of sponsorship by NUS, the Overseas Research Studentship Award (UK) and the Research Studentship Award (University of Manchester). He is a Chartered Engineer (UK) since 1992. In 1996, he spent his sabbatical leave at Hitachi Central Research Laboratory (Tokyo, Japan) as a Senior Researcher. Previously the Assistant Dean at the School of Computing, Professor Teo is currently the head of the Computer Systems Research Laboratory. His research interest covers various aspects of parallel and distributed computing including parallel & distributed simulation, grid computing, parallel computer architecture, and performance evaluation. He has received numerous external research grants from European Commission, Fujitsu Computers (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd (Japan), Hitachi Central Research Laboratory (Japan), Sun Microsystems and PSA Corporation (Singapore) among other institutions. He was previously a member of Singapore’s BioMed Grid Technical Committee in Software Engineering, member of the NUS Overseas College Steering Committee (previously NUS Technopreneurship Task Force), and a resource person for the IDA 2002 Technology Roadmap. Among the many positions he has held, he is currently an advisory member of the IEEE Computer Society Task Force on Cluster Computing (TFCC), Chair of Middleware & Architecture Working Group, Singapore National Grid, Member of IDA/HP Adaptive Enterprise@Singapore (R&D Committee), and Member of Resource Team, Technology Scan Panel, A*STAR Science and Engineering Research Council. Professor Teo is the founder of Atsuma Technology Pte Ltd, a local start-up company specializing in grid computing. A spin-off from NUS, Atsuma’s ALiCE grid computing technology won the 2002 StartUp@Singapore National Techno-Venture Business Plan Competition beating ninety other teams.

Dr. Shubhalaxmi Kher obtained her BE (81), ME (89), and Ph. D (97), degrees in Electronics Engineering from Devi Ahilya University, Indore, India. She has over 32 years of academic leadership, teaching, and research experience in several Institutions in India and the USA. Presently, she is serving as the Associate Professor and Director of Electrical Engineering at Arkansas State University. She worked at Iowa State University for over 4 years prior to joining Arkansas State University in 2008. Dr. Kher has to her credit 2 book chapters and over 60 research papers in International refereed conferences and journals. She served as a key note speaker for several International conferences including, MultiCon-W 2018, ICACCP 2017, ISPCC, 2012, ICETET 2008 to name a few. She is a US expert resource at the IUCEE and conducted a one-week faculty leadership institute at Jaypee University, in July 2012. She served as session chair/reviewer/editorial board member for International conferences/ journals. She presented her research work in prestigious IEEE, SICE, Springer International conferences. Dr. Kher serves as Advisory committee/ Technical Program committee on several International conferences including IEEE SMC. She also serves as external examiner for Ph.D thesis for several Indian Universities. Dr. Kher is a Life Fellow of IETE India, Senior member of IEEE, member of WIE, Life Fellow of the Institute of Engineers, India, Life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, India. She is actively involved in IEEE activities for the last 20 years, founded and chaired IEEE MP Subsection (2002). In 2008, she served as Treasurer of IEEE Central Iowa Section. Presently, she is the IEEE Student Branch counselor at Arkansas State University and University representative for ASEE.
